Cruising the Mother Road -- Shelby Style!
Team Shelby Great Lakes 2026 -- Event Date: September 24th - 27th
Join Team Shelby Great Lakes for an unforgettable weekend as we celebrate the landmark 100th Anniversary of Route 66! Based at the Crowne Plaza Springfield Convention Center in Springfield, Illinois, we will go on an epic journey through some of the most iconic historic stops on the road. From roadside "Muffler Men" and pink elephants to original cobblestone highways and historic gardens, we will conquer Route 66 with true Shelby horsepower
Event Pricing:
Single Registration: $150 (includes t-shirt and gift bag)

The Schedule of Events:
Thursday, September 24: Welcome & Registration
Location: The Long 9 Lounge (inside the Crowne Plaza)
What to expect: Arrive, check in, and pick up your event credentials and participant swag bags. Kick off the weekend with a casual meet-and-greet. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and snacks will be provided as you catch up with fellow enthusiasts.
Friday, September 25: The Ultimate Route 66 Experience
Daytime: A full day of driving! We will caravan down historic Route 66, stopping at legendary roadside giants, the famous Pink Elephant, and authentic cobblestone sections of the original road. We will stop at the famous Artison Cafe for a little lunch (not included with package)
Evening: Prepare to turn heads as we join a massive 1,200 car cruise in conjunction with the renowned International Route 66 Mother Road Festival.
Dinner: We wrap up the night with dinner at Motorheads, Springfield's ultimate historic, car-themed restaurant and museum. (Not included with package)
Saturday, September 26: Giving Back & Grand Banquet
Morning: Back to the pavement for another scenic Route 66 cruise.
Lunch & Charity: We head to Cisco, Illinois for a group lunch (not included with package) and our annual community toy drive.
Afternoon: A cruise to Allerton Park, one of the true hidden treasures of Illinois. Take in the spectacular sights of the majestic Sun Singer statue and the beautiful, historic Fu Dog gardens.
Night: We return to the Crowne Plaza for our Premier Annual Banquet, featuring an evening of fine dining, silent auctions, guest speakers, and exclusive surprises.
Sunday, September 27: The Journey Home
Morning: Farewell breakfast and final goodbyes to the Great Lakes crew.
The Fun Doesn't Stop: Route 66 spans the entire state of Illinois! As you head home, we challenge you to stay off the interstates, explore the original Mother Road, and make a few more historic pit stops.
