2025 TEAM SHELBY MOTOR CITIES REGION INDY FEST
Friday, May 16 to Saturday, May 17
All of us at the Team Shelby Motor City Region would like to welcome you to our feature event of this year, the Indy Spring Fest 2025! This event will include a wide array of activities for all of us to enjoy. From the exhilarating experiences that we will witness at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the memorable moments at the INSAAC 49th Spring Fling, it will truly be a weekend to remember.
On Friday, May 16, we will begin our event at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a tour of their newly renovated museum, followed by the other IMS facilities, as well as get a look at the garages. This will allow us to witness the teams meticulously preparing their cars for the upcoming race - this will truly be a special experience! Next, we will secure our prime grandstand seats to witness Fast Friday, meaning we will witness the cars reaching their top speeds in preparation for the qualifying for the Indianapolis 500. According to the Motor Speedway website, "The fastest speeds during the month of May will be on display on Fast Friday."
*Alternative Option* - INSAAC Pony Trails Scenic Course. The day will culminate with a Mexican Fiesta at Dustin and Erica Sites' residence. This will allow all of us to share in a nice meal, fellowship with each other as well as admire the beautiful vehicles that are in attendance.
On Saturday, May 17, we will all caravan together to beautiful Brown County for the 49th INSAAC Spring Fling. For any Shelby/Ford/Mustang enthusiast, this is a MUST attend event! We will meet up at EXIT 95 at the Love's Truck Stop off of US 65 South and caravan together from there. Once we arrive, everyone will need to pay $7.00 (not included in package cost) for entrance into the park. From there, you will either park as a spectator or if you are REGISTERED for the car show, you will enter the show lot and be directed from there.
*If you trailered your vehicle, you will enter via the WEST GATE. There will be signs set up the day of the show to direct you to the correct location. During the show, you will have an opportunity to see some of the most beautiful and rarest Fords, Mustangs, and Shelbys in existence. The quality of vehicles will definitely be a site to see.
**A Picnic Lunch will be offered for $10.00 for those who register on https://www.insaac.org/.
The car show will conclude around 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. with awards being announced between 3:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday Night (May 17) - Later that evening at 7:00 p.m., INSAAC Saturday Night Banquet will be held at Abe Martin Lodge which is located in the park. If you have registered for Saturday Night's Banquet Dinner, you will have a couple of hour to burn. In the meantime, you are more than welcome to head into the town of Nashville to admire this little quaint town that is full of unique shops and stores. Then you will return to Abe Martin Lodge if you did not purchase banquet tickets, the evening is yours to do with as you like. There are some very nice restaurants in town.
Finally, on Sunday, May 18th, everyone will check out from the hotels and head back home.
