1:18 1967 Ford Terlingua #67 Diecast

The legendary Terlingua Racing Team's roots began when Ford asked Carroll Shelby to turn its Mustang into a race winner. His team created a competition version of the Shelby GT350 for that purpose.
About the same time, Shelby and a few close friends including Bill Neale were enjoying the Terlingua area of West Texas. thumbing their nose at the establishment, they lived hard and enjoyed life to its fullest between winning races. As a symbol of their lifestyle, Neale designed a logo with the sun, three feathers and a rabbit holding his paw in the air. Some of the greatest racers in the world competed with the logo on their Shelby.
Things really broke loose when maverick Jerry Titus joined the team. He piloted the first "official" Terlingua Racing Team car for Shelby in the 1967 Trans-Am series.
Shelby wanted Titus' car to really show up on the grid, so it was painted 'Gawdawful Yellow' with a black hood. The combination of outrageous looks and serious performance in a car driven by such a cocky, talented driver made the team very popular. The team logo soon began to appear on everything from drag racers to street cars and road racers.
This 1:18 diecast celebrates the notchback Mustang that the Shelby team raced in 1967, with a few new twists like the famous logo on the hood. The doors and trunk open, as well as the hood to see the small block Ford engine. From the wheels that steer the car to the authentic rubber tires, this Shelby diecast is as outrageous and the car that inspired it.
