When the 2005 Mustang came out, it had a vast improvement in chassis rigidity over the outgoing model, however it is still a uni-body and we are still left with a front and rear subframe that is not connected.

These subframe connectors take over where the factory left off by tying the rear control arm mounts and subframe assembly to the front subframe. The HD boxed subframes go a few steps further than the tubular design by triangulating key structural points together to make a very rigid frame.

When it came time for Shelby to build the Shelby 1000, the need for a more rigid structure was further highlighted. Thus, these connectors are Shelby factory OEM with every Shelby 1000.

Will fit convertibles if rear bracing is removed. When installing these sub-frame connectors it is highly recommended to purchase the K-member Support Brackets found here as well to make the chassis as rigid as possible.

Notes:
Installation does require welding.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician
